THE ELMHURST FIT

Modern European tailoring. A soft natural shoulder. Designed for comfort, movement, and a clean tailored silhouette.

Elmhurst is SUITREVIEW’s signature tailored fit, developed from years of experience with classic and contemporary menswear. Inspired by natural-shouldered Neapolitan tailoring, Elmhurst combines a soft jacket construction with a modern silhouette that is tailored without feeling restrictive.

Already wear Suitsupply Havana? Your usual Havana size will generally be the best starting point for Elmhurst.

THE FIT

Elmhurst is designed to sit close to the body while maintaining comfort and ease of movement.

The jacket features a soft natural shoulder, high armhole and shaped silhouette, creating a clean line through the chest and waist without excessive structure or padding.

Rather than an aggressively slim fit, Elmhurst is intended to feel modern, tailored and balanced.

Our suits are generally built around a Drop 6 configuration, meaning the trouser waist is six inches smaller than the corresponding jacket chest size. For example: 40 jacket → 34 trouser, 42 jacket → 36 trouser, 44 jacket → 38 trouser.

Different trouser configurations or separates may be available on selected products.

JACKET CONSTRUCTION

Half-Canvas Construction
A half-canvas interior provides structure through the chest and lapel while allowing the jacket to mold naturally to the wearer over time.

Soft Natural Shoulder
Minimal shoulder padding creates a softer, more natural transition from the neck through the shoulder.

High Armholes
Higher armholes help provide a cleaner silhouette while allowing greater freedom of movement.

AMF / Pick Stitching
Fine stitching along key edges provides subtle definition and a refined tailored finish.

Working Buttonholes
Working surgeon’s cuffs are featured on Elmhurst jackets where specified on the individual product page.

Premium Linings
Cupro/Bemberg or comparable premium linings are used where specified, selected for comfort, breathability and a smooth feel over clothing.

THE TROUSERS

We design Elmhurst trousers with the same attention to proportion and comfort as the jacket. Depending on the model, Elmhurst trousers may feature:

Flat Front with Belt Loops
A clean, versatile configuration suitable for both business and everyday tailoring.

High-Rise Single Pleat
A more traditional tailored silhouette with additional room through the upper leg.

High-Rise Flat Front
A clean waistband and higher rise for customers who prefer classic proportions without pleats.

The exact trouser configuration is shown on each product page.

ELMHURST SIZING

Most Elmhurst suits use the following Drop 6 configuration:

36 30
38 32
40 34
42 36
44 38
46 40

Short, Regular and Long sizing is available depending on the individual style. Because fabrics and models can vary slightly, always review the sizing information on the individual product page before ordering.

ALREADY WEAR SUITSUPPLY HAVANA?

This is the comparison we are asked about most often.

If you already know your size in the Suitsupply Havana, we recommend starting with the same jacket size in Elmhurst.

The two fits are not identical, but customers familiar with Havana should find Elmhurst’s proportions and natural-shouldered approach familiar. For example, if you normally wear a 40R Havana, a 40R Elmhurst will generally be the appropriate starting point.

PREMIUM FABRICS. SMARTER SOURCING.

One of the ways we deliver exceptional value with the Elmhurst Collection is through how we source our fabrics.

Whenever possible, we purchase past-collection and end-of-season fabrics from leading European mills and fabric houses. These are premium fabrics that may have originally been developed for previous seasons or collections, but are no longer part of a mill’s current offering.

The fabric doesn’t suddenly become less beautiful because the season has changed.

By sourcing these fabrics intelligently, we can often acquire exceptional cloth at significantly better prices than comparable current-season fabric. We pass those savings into the price of the finished garment.

This is one of several reasons we’re able to offer Elmhurst suits made with premium European fabrics and quality tailoring at price points that can be difficult to achieve through the traditional menswear model.

You’ll find Elmhurst garments made from fabrics by names including Vitale Barberis Canonico, Drago, Loro Piana, E. Thomas, Reda, Ferla, Angelico, Bonino Angelo, and other respected European textile houses.

Our fabrics range from versatile all-season and tropical wools to wool-cashmere, silk and linen blends and other seasonal compositions. The mill, composition and fabric characteristics are identified on each individual product page, so you know exactly what you are buying.

WHY ELMHURST CAN COST LESS

Our goal isn’t to make a cheaper version of an expensive suit. It’s to remove costs that don’t make the suit better.

We combine opportunistic fabric sourcing with focused production runs, a direct-to-consumer model, and efficient fulfillment from our U.S. 3PL in New Jersey.

That allows more of what you pay to go into the things that matter: the fabric, construction, fit and finishing — rather than traditional wholesale markups, large retail networks, or unnecessarily expensive current-season sourcing.

The result is straightforward: a better suit for the money.

U.S. FULFILLMENT

Elmhurst Collection orders are fulfilled from our dedicated third-party logistics facility in New Jersey.

Our Elmhurst inventory is stocked in the United States and ships directly from our New Jersey 3PL to customers across the country. This allows us to provide reliable domestic delivery, straightforward tracking, and a streamlined returns process.

Elmhurst orders are not individually drop-shipped from our overseas manufacturing partners.
